How Farmers Fix Nitrogen & CO2 Problems with Manure

What if… regenerative farmers could solve everything with nature-based solutions? Manure? Dry it and return it upstream of the Rhine and Meuse rivers! Dry it and export it to Spain, where desertification is rampant! Nitrogen? Nitrogen-fixing plants! CO2? Carbon-fixing plants! A circular economy? Of course!

Venturials make everything possible!

The circular economy has two wings:

  • Biocircularity: this means that we design “timed degradation” of polymers with enzymes. “Strong during their lifespan, biodegradable afterwards.”
  • Industrial circularity: we capture CO2 forever in the system (for example, in a building with material passports) while we can repeatedly release and harvest the added value and profit. And create new, beautiful things from it. Also read this article: https://venturial.eu/dutch-design-in-farming-circularity/

Transporting Nutrients Back Where They Came From

How then can we achieve a circular manure healthy surplus? Easy. By transporting the nutrients back where they came from and restoring degraded land with natural manure.

Manure is a major problem in the Netherlands. But essentially, manure is simply an accumulation of nutrients and very healthy. Soil nutrients! Farmland needs natural fertilizers for the food cycles and PKN, Phosphorus, K (Potassium), and Nitrogen.

But right now, there’s TOO MUCH manure here. The Netherlands is a bathtub at the end of the Rhine and Meuse rivers. All the nutrients and pollution from France, Austria, and Germany end up in… the Netherlands via the rivers.

So why don’t we implement regenerative solutions? Return that animal manure—which has a much better Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) than artificial fertilizer—to where the nutrients originate? Here’s a map clearly showing the rivers.

Nutrients flow from high to low. Biological! PLACE. Where-what-how much…

Innovative European Farmer-Business Plan

Dutch farmers have developed an innovative European plan packed with technology and data. Venturial is participating in the drying of waste input materials.

Dealin.Green is the plan. A consortium of “Farmers, Builders & Blockchains.”

Farmers choose their crops wisely. They ensure flexible business models, crop rotation, healthy soil, and good profit margins. But they also absorb nitrogen and carbon. These are the biggest headaches for the Netherlands.

Farmers near nature reserves are replacing grass with clover mixtures, replacing corn with lupine, and growing beans for the protein transition. Less meat. Multiple benefits! Leguminous crops are nitrogen fixers with their stomata! Plants are our helpers!

Farmers have businessmodels with multiple revenue streams. They are increasingly processing their own milk into brie-cheese and feta-cheese and finding customers such as restaurants and caterers. They can grow shiitake and oyster mushrooms in a corner of their farm. On dead wood. Bio-circularity! Waste=Food and edible mushrooms are edible cleanups. And the farmer has an extra profit margin, because who doesn’t love edible mushrooms?

  • Do you want to dry those mushrooms on a large scale for industrial processing? Venturis have the solution. Drying is our specialty. We’re happy to separate them and issue food passports. And dry powders are easier to package sustainably for transport. No refrigeration. No expensive cooled or frozen transport.
  • Or how about growing (gluten-free) grains now that Ukraine’s grain suppliers can’t deliver and gaps in European food security appear? Nice profit margins for EU farmers in a German market. Also, nice markets for Dutch seed suppliers that have grown the seeds, hardened on environments, no GMO. Dutch farmers provide knowledge to countries with degraded land, as well as AI soil scans for precision farming. Poor land can easily support farming if you choose the right seeds!
  • We dry, passport, and pulverize the inedible parts of the grain plant to produce biochar using pyrolysis. Biochar is the best natural soil improver because it keeps soil microbes alive longer. The biochar creates nano-homes in nano-dust so that the living soil stays vibrant and self-repairing. A kind of mother soil yeast. It renews and renews and renews the topsoil. Automatically. Naturally. Regeneratively.

Grounded in Sciences

Venturial loves precision farming farmers with their AI soil scanners! Data helps the chain to achieve and maintain ISO values correctly. With AI and data, everything is a smart and fast chain collaboration!

From soil scan – to crop selection – animal/feed crop selection – human/food crop selection – manure drying – waste drying – soil nutrition – data clearly integrated into the food safety system – to material passports for building European homes.

Transporting dry matter is energy efficient.

Transporting dry matter requires no cooling or freezing in the system and can easily be packaged sustainably. This way everything is a PLUS in the system by SYNERGY. With Venturial and nature as a source of inspiration.

Ecosystem thinking! Smart choices. Multiple values.

It’s no coincidence that the Netherlands is the world’s innovative number 2 food exporter, brimming with natural knowledge and seed breeding instead of GMOs. We’ve hardened old seed varieties to the environment for several centuries. Breeding thanks to natural evolution.

Why copy and paste genes when epigenetics can do the job smarter and healthier? Simply adapt seeds to the environment and the climate? Breeding!

Salt-tolerant varieties?

Politicians debate. Dutch farmers simply do it.

And while Dutch politicians argue daily about whether or not more or less manure should be spread on the fields, farmers are temporarily solving the problem by… “exporting dried manure in a circular EU system.”

Trading to the riverbanks where that manure once came from. France, Belgium, Germany. And Spain is also becoming fertile again thanks to Dealin.Green.

We’re simply halting desertification with… entrepreneurship, smart and healthy regenerative farming. Dried natural fertilizer with a material passport. Drying, separating, and pulverizing.

Breaking the sound barrier with 20x less energy consumption in decentralized, circular economy machines. BOOM! We’re dancing to nature’s music…

We still have a few years before the Global Goals must be achieved by 2030. We’ll make it. All’s well that ends well! Healthy ecology in a growth economy isn’t rocket science. It requires a tiny bit of common sense and knowledge of plants, stomata, fertilizer, and drying machines, whose energy efficiency was copied from a nature lover.

Use Nature’s Flow-Mimicry inspired by the pistol shrimp for YOUR healthy technology redesigns! Breaking the sound barrier in one GO with 20x less energy consumption than usual. Sonic boom, sonar waves. Drying fertilizer, sustainable packaging, and transport. Biomimicry rocks! Nature is biology, physics, mathematics, data, and technology.
